WINE

A wine has to be truly special to be represented by Calmont Beverage.

Opening our doors in 1941, Calmont Beverage Company was first started to satiate the thirst of the unique community of Italian granite quarry workers. Hauling barreled California via rail, the Semprebon brothers then bottled it here in Vermont under the Calmont brand (a contraction of California and Vermont).

After World War II, the northeast saw the ski industry born and watched it grow. Due to this change, Calmont shift their focus to distributing fine wines from New York, California, and Europe. Now, we could fill our book many times over with every IGT, Do or DOCG that is offered to us, but we are a patient company, waiting for only the best wineries to represent.
